i liked that "herlihy boy" skit that he did on SNL with chris farley. i think that's the only time adam sandler has made me laugh.

I actually didn't really like that. I liked the first one he did Billy Madison. Stupid, yes, but very funny, I thought. I liked 50 First Dates better for a Drew Barrymore collabo. Again, silly, but sweet.

I've also kind of liked the "serious" ones he did, Spanglish & Punch Drunk Love.

This one looks pretty funny, but I don't think I can handle his accent for 2 hours. Mike Myers can get away with it, but I don't think Adam can.

"Click" got weird; I thought it was worth a chuckle, but then it got "deep". confuse

I am SO not going to see Love Guru. It looks like very Austin Powers yet almost insulting with the accent.

yeah I don't know about that movie, but I was thinking of Austin Powers, and that his accent was okay for a whole movie.

Click is the only Adam Sandler film I've seen. And that's only because it was on a premium HD movie channel (I had just gotten my HDTV) during one of those free preview weekends and I read that it was nominated for an Oscar for best makeup so I watched it.

I don't think he's funny.

Almost all Adam Sandler movies are the same*.

1. He is a loser
2. He wants the hot girl
3. People taunt him/beat him up
4. He finds the magic key to ....
5. He beats up/defeats whoever
6. He get the hot girl

*Does not apply to Reign Over Me/Punch Drunk Love

Reign Over Me makes me think he looks like Bob Dylan, and Punch Drunk Love pretty much fits your 1-6 steps actually lol

I watched some old footage of Bob Dylan, and he was performing what the narrator called "finger pointin' music." The little smile on his face and his voice & guitar made him nearly indistinguishable from Adam Sandler. It was funnier than the Hannukah song.

pretty weak. It rode on the strength of the concept, which was definitely a good one.

I actually like some of his movies.

Happy Gilmore is awesome. It has a huge cult following in Canada.
The Wedding singer is great.
Big Daddy is cute and pretty good.
50 First Dates is alright.
Punch Drunk Love is really good but gave me a panic attack and I had to take an hour break from it. lol

I dunno about this one, though. If I know someone that wants to see it I'll tag along, otherwise I'll probably wait until it's out on dvd.

Actually, it was the inner rage and obvious anxiety he felt. It was during a shit time in my life and everything he seemed to be feeling made me start to feel it to. I had to turn it off for a while.

I've never had a movie do that to me before.

If it's on tv or something, I'll leave it on. It's very stupid...but the links to Acadian culture through the whole Cajun thing cracks me up.

I am sort of stoked to see this movie! lol excited It looks a bit silly but fun. I never saw Punch Drunk Love, but as for his other movies, other than The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates, they all seem to fall in the silly but dumb category, although Happy Gilmore has some great moments. To me, he seems to play the same character in Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, Little Nicky, Big Daddy, and Mr. Deeds. And I thought I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry was so contrived and utterly boneheaded that I couldn't believe that anyone like Jessica Biel's character couldn't see that he was obviously hitting on her throughout the entire movie. disbelief At least in The Wedding Singer he played someone that acted like an adult could actually make us feel for and care about.
