Natural Born Killers

I just re-watched this last night. As I remember when I saw it in the 90's I thought I understood Stone's vision and the allegory contained in the film.

Last night I felt like it was just a giant piece of crap.

Stone beats us over the head with allusions that Mickey and Mallory are deranged because of our violent society, at one point projecting "too much T.V." on to their image right after "demon". Then, he sets up these elaborate flashbacks of violent childhoods to show us how that is the cause. Which is it?

Why are the incessant intercut scenes of violence needed to illustrate your story and parody of violence in our society. The film is satirizing violence in the media, but also producing it in a way that does nothing to further the parody.

I could go on, but I wanna know what you think of it.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I think that people that are extremely violent to the point of murder or serial murder are already mentally ill. The images in movies or t.v. may contribute to their actions.

I love fake violence, i.e. t.v., movies, etc. BUT, I have never ever been in a fight before.

I saw it back when it first came out in the theater. I remember that it had a good sound track. I remember that it had lots of fast moving scenes with lots of violence. When I came out of the theater I remember being jumpy and feeling like someone was going to shoot me. It was really sunny outside but we were all squinting when we came out because the movie was so dark.
Other than that I do not remember much about the movie.

Tarantino wrote it.

But quickly distanced himself from it. lol He wasn't happy about how it was being made but he'd already sold it.

I really liked the film when I first saw it. Deep down it's just another love story.

I can see that it wouldn't stand the test of time.
