Holy frig! Another incident on my street today.

I came home tonight to my street being blocked off again, cops everywhere and more police tape up. My heart jumped when I saw it.

A man was crushed to death today while working in a small construction zone area on my street.

Once again my son will not be able to go to the park until the on-site investigation is done.

I wonder if the man killed was one of the men that helped the poor woman that found the murdered woman 2 weeks ago.

Ugh.

It's like my street is the street of incidents and death.

It went from nice, quiet area to craziness all the time.

And stupid Jason asked me at work today, "Anymore killings lately?".

At least there are tons of cops in my area again so I feel a bit more comfortable being here alone.

I know eh? It's pretty nuts. An attempted break in, two murders (one on my street and the other just blocks away) and then this accident (again on my street) all in just 2 weeks.

I'd sure love to go to Australia!!!

Where the hell are you living at? The south side of Chicago? It sounds like you are there right now. We've had way too many shootings of kids just minding their own business being shot in the head or chest by gang crossfire. johnwoo machinegun uzi shoot3 I have a friend who lives on the south side of Chicago who fortunately lives in a safer neighborhood, but she would like to get out of there as soon as possible if she could afford to find another house in a safer neighborhood.

sounds like there is a lot of high level violent energy there.

I'd imagine it has everyone on high alert, that's drawing more danger there.

I'd imagine you are getting to know all your neighbors pretty well?

I live in a city with low crime rates, a very low murder rate and I live in a nice little area of the city...or so I thought.

Unfortunately, the crappy stuff that's been happening lately just seems to all be happening in my neighborhood. The run of events are certainly not common for Ottawa.

I know! I am thankful for that. It's really a shame about what happened though. I guess it was all very traumatic - remember this is one hell of a busy area during the day, lots of people use those bike paths.

I'm just glad I was at work and Miles was at my parents when it happened. I can't even imagine the terror of it all. sad

lol

It's my first summer in this area...and it might just be my last...as much as it upsets me to leave because I really do love this area. It's hard to leave being right beside a beach. sad

someone shoved a giant ass rock thats at the corner of my property in the middle of the road/intewrsection. needless to say a neighbor hit it with their car about 2 in the morning.
So we put it back, (between the cops pushing it up to the curb with a paddy wagon and a earth mover putting it back in place)
I look out the window a couple nights ago and its just gone. falloff
Im assuming the first time they probably tried to take it, but someone was probably coming so they hurried and left before they could get it in their car/truck. this time they had enough time to take it.
Im assuming its some kids out of school for the summer. Who else has time and energy to piss with a giant ass rock lol
