This was one nasty storm. sad

It missed the metro area of Minneapolis and St Paul. We got about 5 minutes of wind whipping about, 60 seconds of sprinkling and that's it for Minneapolis. My brother is an hour north and they received baseball sized hail and have damage to their house and windows shattered. The worst of it was in Hugo, then some pretty bad damage as well in Coon Rapids and Blaine, all northern suburbs.

I was an hour away from all the activity, so it didn't affect me personally.
But the pictures on the front page of the newspaper the next morning
were really sad. It must be very difficult to start over when everything
has been taken away.

However, the kind of work you guys do is very helpful to learning
more about these types of storms.

I hate the devestation they can make, but I also find the storms
themselves to be very intriquing.

Well I chased tornadoes for my own pleasure, I did a term paper on them! Everytime a warning goes off in the Minneapolis, New Orleans area I run to it!! Also I chase hurricanes too!! Been in quite a few!! NATURES FURY at its best!!

That must have been an interesting term paper...

I've seen lots of tornadoes, but have never been through a hurricane...
yes, definitely mother nature's fury.

I have a feeling you're going to be very busy this summer!
