The problem with this discussion is that we are trying to discuss beliefs. Beliefs are a very personal thing. People come by their beliefs through very personal experiences. Rane is simply stating what she believes. I have to commend her for standing up so strongly regarding her beliefs and not backing down. However, Ice too stands by his beliefs and tries to supply some sort of support for his beliefs, most times through intellectual knowledge and extensive research. It isn't that Rane isn't intelligent, because I believe she is, but rather that Rane is coming from a position in which knowledge and research is not going to back up her claims because it is a matter of faith, a belief in something that cannot be proved. Yes her beliefs are dogmatic at times, but she still stands by those beliefs even in the face of adversity.

Resorting to name calling and belittling does not add to a debate but rather detracts from it. If everyone is true to their word and are accepting of each others beliefs, then act like it. Let Rane believe as she does without criticism, Let Ice believe as he does without criticism. If as many believe, Rane does not know how to debate, then just stop answering her posts. It's that easy. Stop the drama and live what you believe.

No one can mock a truly righteous person for it would be apparent that their intentions are genuine. However, you can smell self-righteousness a mile away and it clouds the truths that she proclaims.

Ice continually tried to get Rane to discuss, reason, and question but she would not participate, other than to spew scriptures and say all the things that would make one want to turn a deaf ear.

The problem never originated from her beliefs or Ice's beliefs. The problem lies in the DELIVERY... not the MESSAGE.

Rane can believe all she wants, and so do I -- I do believe in the same things she does: in God's Love, Salvation, etc.

I don't believe in creating drama. She claims she represents *her* views, but once you bring God into the picture, people can't help but make the connection.

I really miss JW1914. That person was really succinct and thoughtful. Never dismissed anyone's view point and always maintained his/her dignity and that of their faith.
