What was Journeyman about?Oprah's Big Give was cancelled by Oprah herself. She didn't want to renew. Canterbury's Law??? I guess I was the only one who watched. Journeyman I enjoyed but new it was going down. The Bionic Woman was horrible from the beginning. Didn't stand a chance. Glad that Damages and Samantha Who? made it. That was the show on NBC about the guy who would just get snatched out of present time and sent to some point in the past to help someone. His family thought he was on drugs because he was always disappearing and acting strange. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

The 4400 - For a series that was a serial and LAUNCHED the USA networks original programming, they treated this show very badly and didn't give us an end. The 4400 has a HUGE international following. Arrested Development-Aside from Seinfeld, probably the best American Comedy Ever!!! :fingerscrassed: for the Movie Firefly - Well I guess when you take a semi sort of serial space drama and air all of the episodes out of order people CAN get a little confused. Drive - Lasted 6 episodes and Drove Away. I hate FOX. Day Break - Again GREAT Show. Fantastic and kept you on the edge of your seat. It wasn't "cancelled" but after 6 of 13 episodes shown it went straight to the web to be replaced with re-runs of According to Jim. [Edited 5/22/08 16:00pm] I had no idea The 4400 was cancelled. No wonder it seemed like forever to come back on. I started watching it late and really enjoyed it. Crap. Still don't understand why they cancelled Arrested Development. Maybe because it was actually good! Firefly rocks. The 4400 is only a 13 eps Season. It normally runs in the Summer here. It should be starting up soon....normally it would. They left the ending open/closed/left to your own interpretation. But I feel TOO many ends were not closed. I wanna know if Tom took the shot and what happens then. SHOT I want to know what happens to Seattle now that it's Promise City! I made this as part of the campaign to save the show. Christian Zombie Vampires

Canterbury's Law... was that the one with Julianne Margolese (sp)? If so, then damn... that was a good show.
Journeyman... I thought that one was pretty cool. Kid Nation: My kids wanted to go on that show soooo bad! |

they took two of my favorite actresses - parker posey and lauren ambrose - and put them in a sitcom so damn stupid it made "small wonder" look like "an evening with oscar wilde". it was so bad that i wondered for a moment if the entire point of the show was to realistically mimic a classic bad sitcom from the 80s...only, thinking that way didn't help make the show any better for me. big ouch, that show. Yea, the pilot was horrifying but I hung in there for the next 2 episodes. I didn't wonder why it no longer appeared on my Tivo, I just knew

I won't miss any of them. Girlfriends had a great run of 8 years so I don't mind them being cancelled - the show has been way stale since Toni Childs left

I should have known - O is always in control!!! Canterbury's Law??? I guess I was the only one who watched.
I watched but I HATED it, & I wanted to like it b/c of Julianna & the dude who played the husband. The main thing that bothered me was the editing style - they were trying to be way too slick for their own good. The show wasn't as "cool" as they seemed to present it to be. Rescue Me (same producers) can hold that kinda weight b/c it's an edgier show, but this just wasn't working. & the thing about their son missing as a backstory was just fucking weird - that is so NOT a backstory

I loved that damn show, despite the fact that after the strike everything went haywire. Jack & Marin were more annoying than EVER w/ the stupidest arguments on the planet just to move the plot along, Annie cut off all her hair & looked dumb as shit, that church guy kept getting screen-time... BLAH!! But I still loved it

I watched it on my iPod so it wasn't glaring but it was noticeable. It seemed to lose some steam and direction in the last few episodes...the kid, her affair, breaking rules, her marriage. There was a lot going on but the fights between Juliana and Aidan Quinn were something else. I thought they were going to come to blows at one point. I had such huge hopes for Bionic Woman, but there were problems from the start. A lot of people claim that the role of Jaime Summers was miscast, but I think it suffered more from plot holes that were never resolved or glossed over in later episodes. First of all, she was dating an older professor type who was secretly working on the bionic project and taking notes on her without her knowledge. Then we were told that she got pregnant with his baby before her horrific car accident, which obviously caused her miscarriage. Then at the end of the first episode, she's all too eager to join this secret combat unit, even though they created most of the crises which screwed her life in the first place. And of course, you had the original bionic woman turned rogue fugitive whose character was far more developed and given more personality than Jamie Summers herself. Then throw in the fact that every episode was dark and brooding and it became difficult to watch.
Quarterlife was one of those original web series that someone decided to put on TV to see how it would fare in the ratings. I saw a preview of that show on MTV, and while it would have been a great show for that network or even the CW, it was totally misplaced on NBC. I think they only aired one episode (actually two combined episodes into one hour) and it gave them the worst ratings for Tuesday night in 25 years. I never watched Men In Trees, but I've been told that it actually was a decent chick show. ABC basically killed it by moving the show all over the place and not giving it a chance to develop an audience. I watched the first episode of Cavemen, and while I thought it sucked, it didn't have the awful crappiness of a show like "My Mother The Car" or "Cop Rock". Having said that, it was just boring, and they went against the original premise of the GEICO commercials by having lots of cavemen living among modern day people. The whole premise of the GEICO commercials was that there were only a handful of cavemen who were still living that the GEICO pitchmen didn't know existed.

But no, it was a midseason replacement that didn't have exceptional ratings -- of course they had to cancel it! It's just like Traveler last season. I HIGHLY recommend both! I liked both of those shows. I also loved Carnivale and was super pissed it was cancelled without some sort of wrap up. As far as this list goes, I haven't heard of more than half of them. I was just happy that Scrubs is being moved to ABC for a proper series finale. Shake it til ya make it
