I like it my mp3 player once died mid-routine, and that was the longest jog ever! Music just helps me stay on tempo, and make the run more like fun rather than work If you will, so will I

when i used to jog outside, as opposed to now where I'm on a treadmill, i would do it without my iPod. I felt more alert and focused without it.

I like it A friend of mine does it all the time, she likes to think while running instead of having all that in her ears. But I can't workout without music, it's just not enjoyable

If my boyfriend had MC's Make it Happen in his IPod to work out to, or jog....I'd have to think twice about his sexuality...
I'm being a smart ass... But for real...dude has nothing but old pimp music and JayZ to work out to...so go figure.. But that Mariah Carey....and the soft Pop Top 40 soccer mom Mariah....just saying...dude...trying to get you back in the game dawg... [Edited 5/24/08 16:58pm]

I jogged again Friday morning, and definitely could not have done it without the music. Played Prince Friday... jammin' to the 1999 cd. It went perfectly! |

I avoid most dark or angry songs, and I've also found the Prince songs are horrible for jogging. Not that his songs are bad--it's just his music, the good stuff anyways, demands that you pay attention to the song too much. I also like a very eclectic mix of songs. It's not unusually the hear Punk, Rock, Hip Hop, Dance, and even country in my mix--so long as the songs have a good vibe to them. Hell the other day, I was running to Jimi Hendrix's rendition of "Along the Watchtower" Lawd, I love the guitar work on the live version --made me want to run harder and faster for sure. this post is dedicated to Insatiable. I like it actually, yeah, I almost never jog w/music. I don't like to be disconnected unless I'm on the train. If I worked out at the gym I'd definitely use music, too. I've never tried jogging

I hiked up Kennesaw Mountain today in Kennesaw Georgia. Holy shit!!! My legs are on fire! And for hikes, no ipod needed...just me, the dirt and the mountain.

I've never tried jogging I thought you said it was kind of out of the question for you. I think you could do it, but you definitely have to try my "rolling technique." And not for your knees' sake! I like it yes... but the nike+plus ipod kit keeps me motivated as it tracks my pace, kms, calories & run history. as for music, i run the ottawa marathon yesterday and made a play list with an array of hip hop, r&b & house. since it takes me over 4hrs to complete a marathon i needed ''the prince.'' cream dmsr dog erotic city face down fury get off 3121 sign o the times she's always on my hair girls & boys sexual suicide purple medley musicology my name is prince love sign love lolita kiss kirk's j's b-sides remix hot with u

Today I did another two miles and I listened to The Jacksons' Destiny cd.
My time is improving and so is my stamina! So, listening to Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground), All Night and even That's What You Get (For Being Polite) was very soothing and kept my feet running. But, the kicker was the title track. What starts off as a slow ballad in Michael's soft voice starts the song with, "I try to do what's right for me, but no on sees the way I see"... by song's end, it's a fucking funky bassline, drum-filled horn-laden funky assed song! By the end of my run... I felt like my "destiny" was to continue hittin' the pavement... let's see where this goes. |
