I think I read once that John Waters autographed someone's used tampon.

And Werner Herzog was giving a TV interview outdoors in a park and he actually GOT SHOT by someone at random, and he kept on giving the interview! lol

I love film directors who give until it hurts.

it was controversial??

well, i know it was initially intended to be a tv series, but the network refused it, so david lynch decided to cobble it into a movie. is that what you're talking about?

I have no clue what his real intentions were, but the movie is controversial, there are hundreds of theories about the plot etc - Í wanna know what it is that makes mulhoulland drive so popular?

well, if you look into any of his movies, you're going to find lots of theories about what they mean. i think his latest one, "inland empire" is even more of a puzzle than "mulholland dr." generally, though, i think it's part of the fun of enjoying david lynch films. after you watch them, you get to try to figure out what you just saw. lol

I like Lynch and all, but I'd eat her panties and any other parts she wanted to put in my mouth.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Hey Bierman, I was checking earlier if you are around. Good to see you again! I know there are many interpretations about Mullhoulland Drive - but there are fanboards arguing months and months about those damn controversies - and i dont understand anything! I fucking dont! What is the underlying theme of the film?

lol Oh, this you can go on and on about..... The cool thing is that Lynch himself won't comment on it..... Everytime you see this movie again, you'll make something different of it...

Let's just say this: Betty is Diane's projection of a happier life.
I think you should try to keep it as simple as possible (which is kinda hard!).

i love that david lynch doesn't explain his movies. he assumes his audiences are smart and imaginative enough to take things away from his films, and he doesn't insult us by holding our hands through everything, even though some people might want him to. well, tough! lol

i watched the documentary about him recently, and i think it sheds a lot of light on his scriptwriting that lynch is a big fan of transcendental meditation. a lot of his movies blur the physical world with the dream world and ask the question: is one more important or valid or "real" than the other?

i think that's the crux of what ALL his films are about. stoned

Yes, i agree on that! I saw behind the scenes on m-drive. He seems so relaxed to work with, a bizarre unsual guy. Is he not underrated?

he seems to be a very friendly person who has a great sense of humor, but you can tell there's a very angry dark side bubbling under the surface.

laura dern worked with him way back in the early 90s on "wild at heart", and she went so far as to co-produce "inland empire" so she could work with him again, even if she was putting her own money into it. so at least ONE person thinks he's great to work with! lol

You are talking about co-producers, i was referring to lower staff i.e. his inner circle helpers, they love him too i think, i heard he gives them good credit, but is he not underrated?

oh, i see. i think it was a couple of crew members/interns who filmed the documentary about him that was released within the last year, no?

and yes, i think he's criminally underrated. then again, i'm a fan so i'm biased. shrug

i don't necessarily need him eating my underpants, though. boxed

oh, sure. i just never thought of it as a "controversy" i think of it more like a puzzle, or like conspiracy theories or something. lol
