David Lynch loves his fans. He may love his fans a little too much, but still...he loves them!

I think I read once that John Waters autographed someone's used tampon.
And Werner Herzog was giving a TV interview outdoors in a park and he actually GOT SHOT by someone at random, and he kept on giving the interview! I love film directors who give until it hurts.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Still have to see Inland Empire..... Hey Bierman, I was checking earlier if you are around. Good to see you again! I know there are many interpretations about Mullhoulland Drive - but there are fanboards arguing months and months about those damn controversies - and i dont understand anything! I fucking dont! What is the underlying theme of the film? Prince I will always miss and love U.

What is the underlying theme of the film? Oh, this you can go on and on about..... The cool thing is that Lynch himself won't comment on it..... Everytime you see this movie again, you'll make something different of it... Let's just say this: Betty is Diane's projection of a happier life. I think you should try to keep it as simple as possible (which is kinda hard!).

I think you should try to keep it as simple as possible (which is kinda hard!). i love that david lynch doesn't explain his movies. he assumes his audiences are smart and imaginative enough to take things away from his films, and he doesn't insult us by holding our hands through everything, even though some people might want him to. well, tough! i watched the documentary about him recently, and i think it sheds a lot of light on his scriptwriting that lynch is a big fan of transcendental meditation. a lot of his movies blur the physical world with the dream world and ask the question: is one more important or valid or "real" than the other? i think that's the crux of what ALL his films are about.

oh, sure. i just never thought of it as a "controversy" i think of it more like a puzzle, or like conspiracy theories or something.
