Why is Europe so xenophobic?

I love my peeps and Prince heads from Europe, but what is it with all the Muslim bashing and xenophobia? Right wing polititians will just use this to make the fire greater.

While America may have a black President, you guys are going the opposite way.

Sheesh. Love Europe, that's why I don't want to see another nazi germany.

Although I do agree about the right wing politicians who indeed are very popular and this is damn scary nod. Especially in a country like Austria where people definitely should know better.

Has it struck anyone else how ironic this post is?

Xenophobia is a fear or contempt of that which is foreign or unknown, especially of strangers or foreign people.[1] It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "foreigner," "stranger," and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear." The term is typically used to describe a fear or dislike of foreigners or of people significantly different from oneself.

And yet the person who posted it seems contemptuous of Europeans confused

I think jonylawson hit the nail on its head here.

The Nazi-Germany comment is just plain ridiculous.....I doubt that 2Freaky has ever been to Europe, let alone ever left the US.....in his/her profile she/he states she/he lives in Amerikkka..... confused

As an American, you should be more concerned with the enemy within. We Irish have an affinity with J.F.K. as he's the only president with strong Irish-Catholic roots. He had a super-rich father, alleged mafia help and was white.

He didn't last three years before he was offed. And as the stubborn Irish didn't get the message, Robert was also assassinated and Teddy was set up so he couldn't run. So in all seriousness, I ask if President Obama would see out a full term?
