interesting question.
I've always considered myself to be the "marrying type". But I do have to have different experiences in my life to keep myself from getting bored. Meaning the person who chooses to be with me has to be prepared to do different things. I'm not one to keep doing the same old "movie & dinner, movie & dinner, movie & dinner" thing week after week. I love to travel, I love to go to the park, I love to go bowling, I love museums, I love art show openings...the man I end up with has to have an open mind like myself in order for it to work. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

at this point, while i enjoy the lovey-dovey romantic headbuzz of being very much in love with someone, i'm more digging on the practical bliss of being in a relationship than i have in the past. it's something that matters to me now, and it's something i enjoy being a part of. Damn 37 must be the age to settle down and varnish some shit. Well I am almost 37 ( ) and I was staining and sealing some garden furniture yesterday. ANXY!!!! little Otik

I know I'm cut out for it. I'm just really really picky in my selections and I tend to take mental notes that may or may not work. I think I'm my own worst enemy sometimes. So I refrain from invoking my readiness until I feel that person is what I'm looking for and the feeling is mutual-which is rare.

I know I'm not cut out for it. And I'm better for knowing it. And any woman that's interested in me is better for me knowing it. Too many folks married anyway who have absolutely no business being so. Oddly enough, I'm hoping that my feelings about marriage, or at least long term commitment will change as one of my biggest fears is growing old alone. I mean, the thought terrifies me.

I tend to look at long-married/together couples with wonder and admiration, but on the other hand, I wonder if this 'forever' thing is not a little idealized by society/culture a little... a concept that may have been created by these things in the first place...

There are no deadlines but the ones you set for yourself imo.
