A New Earth - Eckhart Tolle

I have read about half of this book thusfar, and I must admit my consciousness is shifting.

I now I feel llke I AM seeing things in my life as IF I was watching a movie.. I see my thoughts as separate from the CORE of who I really am. And its a mind blowing experience!

Im learning to let go of my EGO and all of its thoughts, wants etc. I think I am getting to the essence of who I am

Is anyone reading this book and find it changing them??

Now, I had read a few passages from "Power of Now"

Im' not sure if he's borrowing from Hinduism, Toaism or Buddhism, but it seems to e heavily derived from eastern thought, with a dose of Relativism.

It's not an uncommon meditation to see yourself from "outside" yourself. But as a Buddhist, I do so with the objective to understand the illusory nature of my ego. It's not that the ego or ATMAN has a true self--it's that it has no true separate self. It's not a "thing" but a set of processes derived from infinite meshes of dependently co-arising occurrences (Dependent origination). Of course, also being Buddhist, I must also succumb to the ironic fact that my holding on to even this belief is me valuing something itself that is illusory in nature.
