Need advice... So as a health incentive at work, we are getting a monthly allowance for a gym membership. Pretty rad.
However, I need to pick a workout, routine, etc that will have maximum results in a limited amount of time per day. I simply can't find a sitter for more than an extra 30min-45min a day. Someone suggested I join CURVES, but I dunno if that little workout will really be enough of a daily workout to lose weight.

I was looking forward to actually contributing for once. Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

I do a high intensity run on the treadmill for 30 minutes and I started seeing result pretty quickly. I'll either choose a course that mimics lots of steep hills or, if I choose a low incline setting, I'll just run very fast.
Afterwards I do some simple abdominal exercises. The short term, high intensity helps to boost your metabolism, I think. Good luck.

Ok, cool. So we have two "curves works". That's awesome.
As for running, I haven't done that in at least 11 years. So I don't think I could do it...or at least it would take a long time to get back into running condition. I do have a recumbent bike though, I think once I start actually going out to work out, I'll be motivated to work out at home too, do a bit more cardio - that's what usually happens with me anyway. I plan on hitting the gym every day right after work, so it kinda just becomes part of my workday...know what I mean?

It is totally great for you, but I was a little concerned that the 30 minute program they offer didn't have enough cardio factored into it. I'm all for strength training, but I need that cardio to work off my fat ass.

Some larger gyms have playroom for kids with games, toys, and t.v.
It cost marginally more per month to do this and is far far cheaper than having a babysitter. That's your best option. Kids normally have a great time in the play rooms. YMCA's almost always have these play rooms. Plus it allows you to check in every few minutes between excercises if you want.

Curves works but it's hard to stick to because it's kind of boring, IMO.
I would suggest finding a place that has Pilates classes. Shake it til ya make it

So that means I get home just after 6pm on a good day. There is just not enough time to feed him, drag his little butt out, then get home, get him bathed and in bed at a decent time. And I don't have enough time to do this in the mornings.

I would suggest finding a place that has Pilates classes. I've got a pilates DVD at home that works awesome - hard stuff! I'd probably do that and/or yoga on the weekends just on my own. I'm pretty good with dealing with boring. Can you actually work out too much?

Dont do anything exercise wise, your body needs to recover from the workout in the week. I have two days off a week with my bodybuilding, and I always feel the best after my days off I got more hits than Madonna's got kids!

And that is what it's all about; making it a routine; the effect of the work out is dependable on what kind of effort you make. And you gotta keep doing it. The rest of your life. I am just fat cuz I cannot make my brain accept sports is FUN. I will stay chubby for Rhonda.
