The perfect gift...

I start my Christmas shopping this time of year...seriously.

As I do every year, I begin with boyfriend. Ladies...what do you get for your cupacake that you've been with 4 years and feel more and more close to every year?

Last year I thought I'd topped it with the cigar humidor.

Actually, fellas what should I get him?

Maybe I should go back to stand by... a bottle of his favorite liquor and a "flick"....

ideas, anyone?

wow. you seriously start your xmas shopping in may?

that is HARDCORE. eek

i think it would be impossible for someone to buy christmas gifts for me so early in the year, because i'm a spoiled brat only child and if i want something right now, then i'll buy it for myself right now if i can afford it. for example, everyone who knows me well knows better than to buy me music. i obtain new music the way other human beings obtain oxygen. lol

BUT

there are those things that i'd love to have, but i'd never think to get for myself. i think those things vary from person to person.

furniture? clothes? tickets for something/somewhere? i love giving magazine subscriptions, because it's a gift people continue to get all year, and who doesn't like getting fun mail?

one thing i would love to have but never think to buy myself is a really crisp, fancy, quality spa robe - just to have when i take showers or when i want to bum around the house on sunday mornings. who wouldn't like a really nice spa robe?

Yeah I'm hardcore. This way I can get MEANINGFUL gifts and be able to afford it all and not run up my credit cards and scramble to pay for Christmas in January. It also makes Christmas a very peaceful season.

I like your idea of tickets... I was thinking of getting him some tix to see the Giants..he loves the Giants. If I were balling out of control I'd get plane tix to NY to see them in NY...but there are other people to get good gifts for too.

ANX, you rock!

good on you for early shopping...my wife does the same, she starts the day after xmas and buys all thru the year just for that occasion...she has gifts on standby for any occasion, actually...

if he is a sports fan, tickets are a great idea...

good thinking, Anx...

nod I'm with ya on that. My xmas shopping will be done by December 1st. If no one tells me what they want then they're getting a gift card to the first place I see so they better hope I'm not standing next to a yarn store. (Although Imago wouldn't mind with his speed knitting and all.)
