Ever get mad (or was disappointed) with yourself?

mad

The security of a gated community banned me from going back on their premesis. He wrote me a no trespass warning and if I ever go back, they could call the cops on me.

Personally I think he was on a powertrip and he did not handle the situation professionally.

He motioned for me to slow down, I was going 35 in a 25 zone rolleyes so I sort of did, down to 30.
A pedestrian was standing between the lanes between both sides, so I stopped and let her cross, I had to motion for her, so that she would cross.
Afterwards, after we proceeded the pedestrian crossed, he kept driving to the side of me telling me to pull over, as if he was a cop, and kept trying to get my attention.
I was only going 30...was it that serious that he had to continue to harass me, he told me once and it's not like I was going too fast?

When he got behind me and was acting as if he was calling the cops or something, I did a hard brake for a mili second, to which he pulled to the side of me and then he cut me off trying to push me off the road, to which I pulled into the right lane.

He followed me all the way from the entrance at the guard shack to the end of this road.
When I pulled into a driveway, he tried to block me, but I pulled out anyway and went around him and left.
When I looked in the rearview mirror, he was still following me.
Without thinking, I pulled on the side of the road, (he pulled up behind me) and I got out of the car, (so did he) and I yelled and cursed at him.

By then, he got my boss on the phone and was exagerrating his side of the story, telling her that I almost hit a pedestrian, I was driving 55, I was driving recklessly, I almost hit a car besides almost hitting his car, I wouldn't roll down the window, I wouldn't pull to the side of the road.

When my boss and I got to talking about the incident, I told her that in some of what happened I took the blame but, this guy who was complaining that I wasn't professional, was also himself not professional. He tried to run me off the road too.

She trusts my story (because she knows me and I admitted to my faults) although she still needs to report to her higher up (which I understand) but she said that maybe I should consider reporting him as well because he wasn't professional too.

Anyway, besides all that, I was mad at myself and disappointed that I lowered myself and acted like a wild thing and made a huge scene.
sad

Maybe both.
I'm still thinking about weather or not to go on my managers advice to report him.
Tomorrow I may just forget the whole thing and not even want to bother.
Or maybe I won't be doing him a favor by not reporting him.
hmmm

Well, the fact that he called ure boss and over eggagerated the situation was uncalled for, but maybe he was mad because u didnt do what he wanted u to do in the first place and I have no doubt he was probably having a bad day set off by someone else. Then obviously he made ure day bad and the thing just escalated for both of u. Probably if u had just done what he asked it wouldnt have been as bad comfort but I wouldnt say u should go blaming ureself either. we are only human after all. If u feel vindicated in reporting him u can go ahead, just make sure it was because he was actually in the wrong, not just because ure pissed at him hug

nod
That's what my boss said, that I should have just rolled down the window in the first place,
even though he's not a cop and can't pull anyone over, but that would have prevented the situation from becoming escalated to this point.
She said it wasn't worth my life either to let it get to that point.

The only reason I would report him is because I was pissed. I know that he could probably get into trouble too since he was wrong also for trying to run me off the road, but I'm honestly saying that I would report him only to get back at him.
That's why I'm thinking it over, I don't want this to get the best of me again.
I'm still searching myself for the answer.

hug Thanks for listening chili hug

True.
I'll probably wake up tomorrow and just let it go already, cause I'm not really mad at him anymore.
