So who has taken a Hot Air Balloon ride - where ? Did you enjoy it ?

Before I had children I went on one here outside Asheville over the Smokey Mts at sunset It was stunning and such an enjoyable experience

I never have..but it's something I would love to do. In the town I grew up...they use to have hot air balloon races. I loved going early in the morning to see the balloons blown up. Was very cool.

I would love to go on one over mountains and waterfalls perhaps.
Any place beautiful so I can takes pics.

Phil booked a ride in Florida last year and we got up REALLY early to get out there but it was too windy that day.

So now I have one on rain check. Just need to pick the perfect location.

My ex boyfriend tried to get me to go on a hot air balloon ride once, but I chickened out. I'm much too afraid of heights

My head has been called a hot air balloon several times in my life. so I guess I did.

It's something I want to do, but somewhere spectacular like over the rockies, or a game reserve in Africa, or mountains in New Zealand.

We have balloons go over our house quite a lot in the summer - I always rush out and watch ... I'd love to be "up there" looking down.

In The Netherlands, to avoid the need for approval of the property owner
to land on their land, all hot air balloon landings are officially recorded as
emergency landings.

I went on a very brief ride when I was about 3 years old at some park. I was really excited when we got in the basket but when it took off I started screaming my head off. They lowered it pretty darn quickly and I got off. I have no desire to go on one now. I'm still scared!

I did it once. It was an amazing experience, but I got some kind of altitude sickness I think. I got very light headed and dark spots in my eyes. Later that morning I was sick.

Could have been unrelated, I suppose.
