Finally! My 3 bestfriends and I were able to see this movie! (last week one of my friends was out of town with her sick Mother, we dared not see it without her!)

I love love loved it!! It was better then I had hoped for, I was so scared that I was going to be disappointed because of all the hoopla and and anticipation. But thank god, it lived up to my wildest dreams! I won't spoil it for anyone who has not seen it, go see it!!! And for all the people that rag on Sarah Jessica Parker for not being beautiful enough to play the part of Carrie-- My god, she looked beyond gorgeous in all her outfits! Of course there are a few outfits that you could not help but giggle at, but when she was trying on all the wedding dresses for Vogue, everyone in the theatre was gasping! cloud9
I could not believe the lovely mixture of people in the theatre, straight men with their wives, old couples new couples, everything you could imagine. I can't wait to see it again!! cool

I had to wait a damn WEEK to see it, just didn't have time opening weekend. I liked it - yes they tread the same ground as always BUT it was enjoyable. I thought they had Steve (the actor) overacting, he was just too fucking emotional for me. I laughed nearly every time he was on screen (the confession, the bridge) & I LIKE Steve!! lol

**SPOILERS!!** I also thought Carrie took Big back a little too easily after such an embarrassment. Maybe I'd cave too after his gesture but what a fucking lame reason to do what he did! I'm trying to talk in code for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. Good flick...

I totally agree about Steve's over acting, when he was sobing during the confession and when he showed up at the rehearsal dinner, he looked high smoker

I just loved when Carrie hit Big, with the flowers....she looked like she meant it! I loved that part! You could see the anger in Carrie's face.

I loved when Charlotte screamed at him "NO!".

And overall, I loved it.

Too long, kinda boring, too cheesy and not very witty. I found myself giggling at the serious parts and predicting most of it. I also couldn't relate to or even found the really girlie scenes (like the toss, take, etc scene) all that entertaining.

I did enjoy looking at the outfits and shoes and I did find myself really feeling for Carrie when they showed how heartbroken she was - as I sure as hell could relate to that depression stage.

But did I mention that I thought it was too long? By the time they made it to Mexico I just wanted it to be over.

I didn't mind the show - I wouldn't turn it off if I saw it was on, but it was never a case of me looking for it to watch.

But this, to me, was not the same as the show at all. Did someone else other than the show's writers write the movie...cuz it sure seemed like it.

I think the show creator wrote the screenplay for the movie, probably without insight from the show writing team (which he needed on this). I'm a huge fan of the show (I'm corny enough to have the pink box set & actually watched the series twice over the last few years falloff ) & while I'm not disappointed in the movie I don't think it lived up to the greatness of (most of) the series. & even in the 2+ hour time-frame, I felt like all the characters were underused somehow. I wish they'd made things more interesting instead of treading the same old ground. & that fashion montage was SO cheesy lol What can I do, it's possibly my favorite show of all time bananadance
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I was getting my hair cut today, asked my beautician if she's seen this movie yet, because she's a HUGE fan. Surprisingly, she has not seen it yet. I thought she would be the first in line to see this movie. lol But then again, she's a single mom with two kids, and I don't think it's a movie that you would take your kids to go see.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I went to see it again last night, since I missed the beginning. I liked the first half better. The closet gave me chills. The whole wedding day scenes were the most striking and memorable, obviously the beating with the flowers, which I didn't blame her one bit, I felt that to my soul,(even her depression I felt) But the whole look and style of the library and their dresses I loved. The rest of it did kind of drag on since you knew basically how it was going to end. All those damned balloons and strings in that resturant was driving me nuts I couldn't imagine being able to sit in that place for long without going stark raving mad. Put your purse strap on your shoulder and drag out dozens of balloon with you. hmph!

How they did it at the end, if I should ever do that again, is what I want to do. That to me was perfect given their personal circumstances.

Oh yes, I definitely could feel her pain through the depression scenes. There were many mornings and days where my face looked just as swollen as hers did due to crying all day or all night without much sleep or an appetite. Although I disagreed with the Miranda/Steve and Samantha/Smith storylines, the movie was good, and I thought that it had a great ending for the series as well. I don't recommend a sequel although I suspect they may be going for it.

Well i'll be looking forward to The Soprano's movie as well!!! excited
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
