If you don't feel comfortable answering here, please orgnote me; I need these numbers soon, thanks. I taste first, then salt it like a motherfucker, whether it needs it or not. Cause that's how I roll.

Actually, I must admit, I usually add just a little salt and a fair bit of pepper to most things I eat, before tasting. I just know what it'll be like compared to my tastes.
Same goes for fish sauce, lime juice and/or vinegar with chilli in when it comes to Thai food.

i don't think i've ever salted anything in my entire life. or peppered. i very rarely doctor my food at all, aside from a ketchup/mustard mix for fries/burgers/whatever. i guess i'm very simple that way. i just eat it the way it's served to or prepared for me. (i don't cook. at least not well. and if it's just for me, then i could care less what it actually tastes like.) "Try to remember how you used to feel about me
and think about how you're treating me now. Then try to reconcile them, if you can. But you don't even remember, do you?"

I would love to taste your soup. Minestrone is one of my faves. (Ok after re-reading that..it sounded kind of kinky..oh well I am leaving it). Did you use a recipe or just throw stuff in?

I have extremely low blood pressure and my dr in that states advised me to add salt to my food... I just can't do it. I would rather add something hot & spicy.

This one was a recipe, I followed it pretty much to the letter apart from the following substitutions. it had in it: 3 bean mix (supposed to be borlotti beans) half a zucchini - diced one carrot - diced one potato - diced 4 fat free bacon rashers (which was supposed to be pancetta) one onion one celery stalk - cut up into small pieces one leek (I just decided to put that in ) sliced 2 cloves garlic 1 400g tin crushed tomatoes 2 tbs tomato paste 2 litres stock some green beans 1 cup tiny little pastas fresh parsley and basil pepper you process the onion, bacon, garlic and parsley until its a coarse paste saute that in some olive oil in a big pot for about 8-10 minutes over lowish heat throw in the carrots, celery, leek, potato and let that cook about 5 mins put in the tinned tomato and paste, and stock and torn up basil simmer 1.5 hours 10 mins from the end throw in pasta, zucchini and green beans it's ready when the pasta is al dente! while this is cooking, there is time to bake a loaf of bread!

Sounds yummie. I will have to make it some time. Thanks for giving me the recipe. I am going to save it right now. I stopped baking bread because I will just eat the whole thing. I only buy whole wheat or some sort of grainy bread. When he buys a fresh loaf of tiger bread I do my best to resist. Other wise I could live off of bread and cheese.
