Sr Ghana Maria, Sr Evelyn Tentions, Sr Freeda Sole, myself
and a couple photographers went to Cox Arena at San Diego State
University, and the site of the countries most famous drug bust this week, to
greet the kids as they were attending Teen Mania's Aquire the Frie. Once
again we were met with smiles, hugs, high fives, and handshakes and
very few bible thumpers. We handed out the little bookmarkers that Sr
Dionna Cross sent down to me last year, and spent a couple hours just
chatting away with hundreds of teens in attendance for the event. I would
like again like to thank my Sisters in supporting me in this and share
my believe that within our lifetimes we will see a brighter furture
thanks to the openmindness of people like the teens that attend this
event, regardless of what their leaders try to teach them

Why the fence ?

any time you do a protest at an event like this they throw the protesters behind a fence for their protection. there is always the chance someone could attack.

nope. this year was tamer than last year. we had a few very determined people who wanted to get their point across last year. we were very happy for the fence.

Whoa, it did look like you had some security this year. But anyway no protestor to protest the protestors this year, a sign of growth. And it even looks like some parents were welcoming also. I guess they are understanding what you are out there for so their like calm about it now.

there are group of interns with Teen Mania that put on the show. I guess they do it for a year and than pass it down to the next group. We had a few come up and say hi and that they were told about us from last year's group and they were all very friendly and wanted pictures. I really am hopefull for the future.
