The Hills

I cannot bear more than 10 seconds of this show, but I'm curious:

Do they ever reference that they're on TV; that they've become celebrities? Do you ever see people recognizing them?

What's the dillio here, Hills-watchers?

This mystifies me as well... You would think that their presence all over magazines, TMZ, or on chat shows would be a topic of their girlfriend couch conversations, but I guess not... For better or (most likely) worse, The Hills definitely created an alternative TV medium... I view it as an improv Knots Landing.

So, it's never been discussed at all? lol

Think any discussion would be too hard for tweeners to wrap their heads around.

Lauren's long dramatic pauses get on my nerves. What I don't understand is how in the show, Heidi & Spencer have this "break" but when was this so called "break" in real life? They've been joined at the hip for months now. How can they really expect us to believe this shit ain't scripted?
