I actually have paid $100+ for coffee beans....Jamaican Blue Mountain, which is considered the best. It's not easy to find here. Gloria Jean carries it.
It was a splurge....

That must be a South Beach rip-off because if you are in Miami in Kendall (the middle-class suburb), Key Biscayne (the upper-middle class island) or Overtown (the GHETTO), all locations have heavy populations of Jamaicans who deal in the import of that coffee and locals drink it like water, it's not that expensive throughout the rest of the city.
