CalhounSq said: Genesia said: Okay. That bra does not fit her. The cup size is too small. With any bra you buy, the center front section should be flat against your sternum. There should be no hammock effect (as there is in the picture above). Maybe that's the way that one is made? maybe it's softcup? anyway, genesia is right - I have encountered so called "trained bra-fitters" who don't know this golden rule

I bought them at a place called SunnyJ's here in Michigan, but they do sell them online: http://www.goddessbra.com/ The benefit of going to a good bra shop is that you can get properly fitted - it makes all the difference in the world! I was wearing a DDD cup and I'm actually an H - I had no idea. Now all my tops fit so much better.

They do. I wear an F and I have a few molded bras. I've never found them in the pretty colors that the smaller bras come in though. Only black, nude, and white

I hate molded cups. They make my twins look even bigger.
Anyway, I threw on a regular old fabric bra today (one that I only wear to get the mail or dash to the store @ midnight ) b/c I'm doing laundry... & this fucker looks GREAT right now! I keep looking down @ my boobs like, "yea!" Maybe I'd let the straps too loose when I swore off regular bras & the girls were looking a little sad one day or something, I dunno, but the shape is great - very round, still perky. I gotta say I'm pretty happy w/ the boobage even w/o the help of a molded cup Then again, maybe the accumulated wearing of the molded cup has helped lift & perkify my boobs So ladies, what kind of bra do you prefer & why? yes, I'm bored Unfortunately, because I need so much support, I am stuck with underwire. BUT, my homie Jill Scott is coming out with a line of bras for us big girls. It is supposed to take the support off the shoulders and ease up on those marks from underwires too. oh hush! i would threaten to twist your nipples but that's no punishment for you ('us' ) biggie tittie ass complaining about em... geeshhh in the summer i don't need a bra, only those small round band-aids for my nipples! i'm so kidding LOL a dude did once tell me you dont need anymore than would fill a champange glass but then years later he married a big fake boobed chic LMAO! i don't blame him, i like to play with them myself what was the question again? ohhhh yeah, what kind of bra do i like... hummm a bikini top is my gear all summer, which in Florida is 9 months of the year lol. When working I wear Victoria Secrets dream angels wireless. when i hit the street all glammed up i do wear a push up if the outfit calls for it. itty bitty titty sisters unite! I heard her interview on Tom Joyner . They're going to be similar to the gel strapped ones Zombie Kitten mentioned. I think they're going to have gel in the underwire section too, to keep it from digging into the flesh: http://www.blackamericawe...0&img=7242 .

A model is simply casted for the shoot and the bra will be manipulated to look like it fits as much as possible, using all sorts of pinning and stuffing and visual trickery. In the old days when I first started working on catalog shoots, the ways they used to make the bra "appear" to fit was primitive and bordering ridiculous: I remember manys occasion when an empty Coke can placed at the spine behind the bra closure was the industry-wide "magic trick" on shoots used keep a brassiere looking taut and keep the model's posture considered more "complimentary". Basically, unless it's an instructional type photo that you see as part of a campaign to REALLY demonstrate the attributes of the product, ladies, take no notice of the photos you see for brassieres. For many catalogs, models are booked off of composite cards and are usually seen in the brassiere for the first time when they show up on set to shoot. If it's actually an ad campaign or lingerie catalog, there will be fittings. But not fittings in the technical sense. It's basically the art department/ad agency reps, the photogrpaher, and the stylist doing the fitting checking to see if the aesthetics are right. unless there is a company/product rep along to with clear instructional demands on how the product is to be shown, the general rule for shooting bras are: 1. Keep the straps straight and taught, but not digging into the flesh 2. No puckering in the cup. Fill it ANY way you have to. After that, they just keep it moving, ya know? The ad agencies have no clue. So I really have to thank Ganesha and Zombie for teaching me that lil' bra tidbit, 'cause a sista really DID NOT know, and I've worked on bra shots for 14 years

The ad agencies have no clue. So I really have to thank Ganesha and Zombie for teaching me that lil' bra tidbit, 'cause a sista really DID NOT know, and I've worked on bra shots for 14 years 3 steps: 1. The strap around your body should be firm but comfortable. When you stand side-on at a mirror, the strap that runs around your body should be horizontal and should not ride up at the back at all. 2. The wires at the front should lie flat against your rib cage and should not dig in, rub or poke out at the front. 3. Your boobs should be enclosed in the cups and you should have a smooth line where the fabric at the top of the cup ends and meets your bust. You shouldn't have any ridges or bulging over the top or sides of the cups, even if you are wearing a balconette or lower cut style. Trying on tips When you are trying a bra on, it's best to start off by fastening it on the loosest hook. This way, you will be able to tighten the bra up if it becomes looser when you've worn it a few times. Also, remember to adjust the shoulder straps to ensure that they are not too loose. When you've put on a bra, you may need to adjust your boobs to make sure that they are in the cups properly. It's a good idea to try a T-shirt or top over the bra that you are trying, so that you can see the shape it gives you underneath your clothes. (from bravissimo.com) One thing I always like to do, is bend over and shake my boobs into the cups to fill them up properly.
