I have a great mom. She's loving and caring and kind to everyone. She's 74 and has been disabled for 10 years. She's in constant pain and can not do anything for herself (except feed herself). It's very hard on my dad (who's the best father and grandfather ever) and it's hard on all of us too, but we love her so much. Unfortunately, she does not believe in pain meds and only takes them when she feels she really needs them. It's frustrating because she could be in less pain, but she hates feeling "out there" as she says. I'm very fortunate to still have her and I look forward to spending Mothers Day with her and many more. | |

My Mother is 85 years old..
She is spunky, she is so independent, so wonderful, so caring, so honest, so always there for me. I love, love, love you Mom. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Our parents can embarrass us often when we are teenagers, but when we get older we love all that mushy kind of attention. You remember it too, so it's special. My dear Mom passed away 11 years ago, and not a day goes by that I do not wish I could have one more hug, one more kiss, one more time to have her be bossy and nosey. I know I was not always the perfect daughter, and way to many times I took her for granted, I thought she would always be around. I am now 42, and I wish that my Mom was alive so that she could see how much I look like her, sometimes I look in the mirror, and I see my Mom looking back at me. My Mom had a way of embarrassing me, she would always call me "baby" I was the youngest of 4, and she would love to tell the world, that I was her baby. I miss being her baby.. 
i call my son "bubby" - but have tried to stop doing so in public- he is at "that age" where kids get embarrassed. but he will always be my bubby seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before   | |
