Erin, I wanted to thank you for the way that you brought a real sense of comfort to me when my cousin died. You understood my reasons for validating such a flawed individual and my pursuits to bring sense to a senseless situation. As others have stated, you are honest and that is something I absolutely love about you. In our discussions about my cousin, you understood and we weren't glossing over my cousin's shortcoming or making excuses but those were real moments when we reflected on her humanity and I can't begin to tell you how important it was that I had someone to have that kind of discussion with.
