The location. My view. The thick, concrete walls.

I can walk to the museum, park, Jamaican restaurant, Greek restaurant, this delicious sushi spot, nice bars with sexy bartenders, train station, mall AND the firehouse up the block. I never get enough of lookin at the firefighters. Especially around this time of year where they all hang outside drooling

I also like the high ceilings. And having two washrooms RULES. I don't think I could ever go back to one-washroom living. shake

Your 'hood sounds similar to mine ('cept for the mall part). I don't have the firehouse, but I do have lots of fashion-forward stores, so there's plenty o' hot chicks to look at. jerkoff

I'm not outdoorsy but it rained last night and this morning and it's overcast right now. I love days like this. I love that the boys (my dogs Prince and Marley) are scared of thunder and beg to get in bed with me to cuddle. mushy I love that I can lounge in my bed all day if I want to. My room has several floor to ceiling windows so even when it's cloudy I get tons of light. I love that I have 10 foot ceilings in my room and eight foot doors so when I walk from room to room I don't feel closed in. cloud9 I LOVE my home. Oh and sitting in my bed, looking out the window, I can watch the bunnies hop around and chase each other on my front lawn. giggle touched

No houses across the street - bike path and greenspace instead.
Beach is literally a 3 minute walk from my doorstep.
4 parks with childrens play structures only a very short walking distance away.
Safe neighbourhood and fairly quiet - young families seem to dominate the area.
I love my fully fenced large backyard.

As for the city as a whole...it's very clean and has lots of greenspace - beautiful.

I like that I can easily get into the city or into more rural areas if I want to. I live on a street that only has 3 houses on it, so it's pretty quiet. There's good shopping nearby, there are a bunch of beautiful parks, and most of my family lives within 15 minutes from my house lol. I also have a great view of the mountains and I am about a 10 minute walk from Haverstraw Bay deal

I love the fact I can see walk outside and see the mountains. I can drive the opposite direction and I can get out of my car and walk on the beach.

I love the fact that school is almost out and all the college kids will be leaving! lol Then Norman can go back to being a quiet city.

But on another note..I love the fact this town is big, with a small town feel. It has great shopping, places to eat, it's very kid friendly, and there are always art or music festivals going on. biggrin

I love:

* The amazing diversity of people. Something like half the folk here were born out of the country, with only fairly reasonable growing pains.
* The mystique of this city and little cultural nuances that are yet foreign to me, as I'm still relatively new here
* That there are lots of entertainment and cultural options
* That the city is relatively clean (Erin will take exception, but, hey, I'm coming from a place that set its river on fire with pollution confused)
* That there's a decent beach and great lake nearby, and lots of smaller lakes and woodland areas north of here
* The workable drive-time proximity to other cool places

I love Santa Barbara, California! sun
It is warm, not too hot today..a nice breeze. I love that Santa Barbara is situated between the Ocean and the Mountains. No matter where you are in Santa Barbara, you have a lovely view of the Santa Ynez Mountains, and if you are lucky enough, as I am...you can also see the beach. cloud9

I love that...

the weather never gets severe & is usually pretty nice...

I'm close to a lake...

my neighborhood is pretty chill...

my favorite restaurant (& grocery stores & the gym) are in walking distance...

I have a private balcony now (had some tenant walkway shit before - not cool!)...

my couch is cozy...

my closet is a nice size (shoes!) lol

the appliances are new...

my liquor cabinet is always stocked...

there's a mail slot in the lobby...

my view is halfway decent...

2 really good friends live in the same neighborhood...

SF is 10 minutes away if I need a change of scenery/eatery...

there's so many great live venues!! woot!
