Today just may have been the happiest day of my life. A beautiful, sunny day off. Put the beanbags out on the terrace. Kicked back. Listened to Howard Stern. Watched Survivor. Cleaned-up. Did the dishes. Relaxed in peace and quiet. Answered email. Surfed the Net. Got in touch with my ex to make sure she knew NIN tix were going on sale today. Called my parents.
Life is good. How was your day? Tell us about a day you really enjoyed.

i'm leaving work in an hour to put on my Sister stuff and go to SDSU to talk to kids about Gay Rights and Equailty. I love talking to the kiddies. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

No, this was not a "dogs in the tub"-type situation.

Any day at work is a day I'm not particularly enjoying - at least at the moment. I hope to salvage it with cocktails after work. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

One of my best days ever was a day I had in Paris. My sweetie and I split up for the day - he went golfing, I went fabric shopping. The weather was perfect...and I found two fabulous fabric stores - one in Montmartre.
Sweetie and I met back at the hotel and got ready to go out. We had an amazing three-hour dinner at Spoon Food and Wine (Alain Ducasse's fusion restaurant off the Champs Elysees), then rode the ferris wheel and went to the Buddha Bar for a drink. After we got back to the hotel, thunderstorms moved in - so we listened to the rain on the window all night. Of course, the day before that, we had ice cream at Berthillon, lunch at a great little café and went out to Versailles - which was also pretty spectacular. Any day I spend with him is good. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

You? yeah, I'm a Bubba fan from way back, I'm afraid...just goes to show how trashy I am... bringing back the Friday show in some form would be welcomed, I think...they should let JD have a show... Agreed. Mastertape Theatre seems like a good idea in theory, but I never really enjoy it, especially the really old ones they've been playing lately. I'd rather hear repeats of this week's show.

I like the old shows-because there are some classics-but for the most part, they pale in comparison to the new ones...

Is that old Stern shows? I haven't listened since the switch to Serius. I never liked the reruns that much though, because so much of what they said was in reference to something going on at that time. So hearing them talk about Benifer just isn't interesting (it was barely interesting at the time!) My Legacy

mine apart from my wedding day, and the birth of my son
was mothers day 2004 my then 5 yr old son, came into my bedroom, and proceeded to dump a whole bunch of balloons on my bed. inside each balloon, was a chocolate toffee, and a little cardboard love-heart telling me why he loves me all his own idea !! well, he got it from a tv show (and daddy had to help a little -under instruction:smile:) i had to explain the concept of "happy tears" that day seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before
