There was some HILARIOUS episodes...Jack and Karen make this show go.... nod

I went to a taping of one of the shows. They were all having so much fun. At one point they did a blooper and Jack (Sean Hayes) ran over to a piano they had on set and played the entire the song of the show. I didn't know that he is a classically trained pianist. The taping was, I think, 2-3 years ago. It was a Thanksgiving episode. I got to see Bobby Cannavale (he was playing Will's b/f at the time.) drooling

I was in NYC last week and walked past the theatre where she's doing her show and the WHOLE time I was laughing about her on Will & Grace and how Jack was trying his hardest to ignore her and she kept trynta to put her face in his lap. It was cool how they ended that ep with the 3 of them doing Don't Cry for Me Argentina. I, also, loved how they made Gregory Hines Will's boss and Grace's love interest. They prolly captured the last time he tap danced on TV. Still can't believe he's gone. bawl

One of my favorites was when Matt Damon was on the show. I love it that Matt used "Ben" as the name for his current boyfriend.

Oh Jesus! spit When he was pretending to be gay so he could go to Europe with the gay men's chorus. Jack asked Grace to help expose his secret, and she says, "You want me to IN him??? I've never done THAT before but okay." lol

The following was said with all the necessary neck and eye rollin':

JACK: [TO OWEN] Uh, excuse me. As Aretha said to Gloria, Celine, Shania, and Mariah during Divas Live... [AS ARETHA] "Are you trippin'? No one interrupts the Queen of Soul, bitch. Ok?"

OWEN (Matt): Well, I believe she also said, "Hey, Cuba, Canada, cowgirl, Crazy, get out of my light and away from my snacks, bitch."

I loved the shit outta this show woot! My all time fave (which I've mentioned here before) is when Grace discovered that Karen had made a porn flick in the past & showed it to her. Karen looks HORRIFIED & bolts for the window as if she's gonna jump.

Grace: NO!! KAREN, don't!!

Karen: Therrrrre we go... (coming in off the ledge with a bottle of vodka in hand, taking a swig)

lol The bitch was cooling her vodka on the fire escape falloff That show was great for YEARS, the last season was definitely off. Maybe the last two, can't remember now. But it was awesome worship

thumbs up!

The closing scene is classic:

SCENE XI: Will's Apartment
(WILL is watching TV as GRACE enters.)

GRACE: [ENTERING] You will not believe the day I had.

WILL: No, no, no. Whatever it is, I guarantee I can top it.

GRACE: Ok. You open.

WILL: Cater-waitering for Jack at the Waldorf-Astoria.

GRACE: Good open, but I see your Waldorf... And raise you... Hunting for porn all over Manhattan.

WILL: Running into law school classmates while serving them crab cakes.

GRACE: Getting groped in an adult video store... by a former New York City mayor.

WILL: Enjoying an appetizer of potato leek and laxative soup.

GRACE: Oh. That's good. I don't know if I could-- Oh. Oh! Oh, what's this? [GRACE PULLS OUT THE VIDEOTAPE] Oh, yes, yes, yes! Karen actually doing work.

WILL: No, no, Grace, that's not gonna do it.

GRACE: Let's just go to the videotape, shall we?

[GRACE PUTS THE VIDEO INTO THE VCR AND PRESSES PLAY.]

KAREN'S VOICE [ON VIDEOTAPE]: Baby's made a mess. Dirty pig baby. [SMACK!]

WILL: Oh, I fold.

One of the funniest sitcoms in the '90s.

Great writing, and great ensemble cast.

James Burrows is responsible 4 this show. He did The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show, Rhoda, Laverne & Shirley, Taxi, Cheers, etc.

Yes, Karen and Jack MAKE the show.

I LOVE Karen.

Hmmm....do I like the show. I thought it was pushing a small envelope when it debuted and was really thrown off by Will's character. This seemed to be a gay sitcom for the mainstream. I feel that where Ellen was pushing a bigger envolope at the time of her coming out and that led way to this show.

I think as the show progressed and found it's voice...especially Karen and Jack, it had some really funny moments and came into it's own.

And then somewhere along the way, it almost became a cariacature of itself. Even Karen was becomeing a one liner. Everything was pretty much the same and due to a lack of funny TV or even TV with gay themes or people, Will and Grace stuck around for longer than they should have.

All in all it was an ok show. Not the best actors or even the funniest show (certainly no Seinfeld or Frasier), even though it won many an Emmy award.

I do have to add that I found this show completely unbelieveable and I couldn't relate to it at all and I'm gay. I feel the same way abotu Queer as folk, which I didn't like.

sadly the show jumped the shark when Grace got married. it took awhile and alot of stunt casting to bring it back.

Of course one of the highlights is Madonna moving in with Karen.

Madonna working for a company that produces 80s hits cds, Hits of the 80s, Long Songs of the 80s, Dance Hits of the 80s. that was classic.
You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

disbelief The show was on for 9 or 10 seasons. You'd miss tons of hilarious stuff if you stopped at 4.
