I typed in APE and 2JAY and that pic is what I got; serious!

so calling me a monkey because I'm black is ok?

I of course, mainly wanted to point out that you're an ass. Planet Of The Apes? The pic should have been a dead give away about my intentions.

Anyway. You quoted me, so editing is to no avail; it wasn't meant as a racial slur. If it came acros like that, my apologies. Yer still an ass though.

cool

I remember the time before reality TV and pointless "celebrities". Ah, those first 13 years of my life where I never knew who Paris Hilton was...

I remember that horrid teen pop phase started by Britney and the Backstreet Boys (the only bareable ones) then continued by 100000 other blonde "singers" and groups.

I recall Justin Timberlake's hilarious bleached blonde afro falloff

I remember cassettes...getting eating by our car player lol

I remember MJ's second peak...around the Scream/History era.

I remember the first mobile phones...bricks.

The first computers, with no internet. Weirdest shit ever.

I remember playing the Sega as a kid then getting a playstation one (still have it).

Cartoons were GOOD. They're all violent anime or "baby bratz" these days shake

Speaking of Bratz, i remember when Barbie still ruled supreme.

I remember when central locking for cars was new.

And...here's a recent one : I remember the very first iPods. BRICKS! lol

When I was born ...

Man hadn't gone into space ufo

They were still testing the village air raid siren every week in case war broke out... even though it ended years before sigh Maybe it had something to do with the Cuban missile crisis hmmm

TV was a grainy black and white... was only on a few hours a day ... only had 2 channels... and if you actually owned a TV you were rich! confused

Mill chimneys were everywhere woot!

Steam trains still ran dancing jig

Coronation Street hadn't started eek

Spangles were still in existance biggrin

Everything was home cooked.. except for fish and chips drool

sigh

I remember having crimped hair and side ponytails

mj's image has changed sad he was better off 13 years ago than now, way better off even if shit happened then too.

tv has changed for better or for worse, with reality shows and not a real mtv

there's internet now

there's digital cameras now

cell phones are much nicer now than 10-15 years ago

barely anyone uses a beeper, and to think I was obsessed with it and it had no text messaging!!

watching movies in class through a projector and not a dvd, dvd's are everywhere now

I remember when we got a microwave for the first time

I remember the first cordless phone and "tracer," and a time before call display showed the residence the number was from

sadaam is dead

hip hop is everywhere now, I don't think adults back then played that stuff like they do now

I'm not a phone person anymore, I talk to everyone online now, though I will be on the phone time to time when talking to those who aren't like that

Britney Spears. Yuck. I miss the time when she wasn't around.

all the ipods and mp3 players, though I still buy CD's if I like them in full. I remember records and didn't buy my first CD until the mid 90's.

music is sampling and borrowing so much, that didn't happen often before

Kids are over scheduled now these days. After school there are sports, ballet classes, music classes, whatever classes. No one just goes home any more. I remember rushing home to finish my homework, so that I could spend the rest of my evening riding my bike, playing with the neighbors kids and just hanging out. Now a days it seems kids are too busy to just hang out, they are on-line or on the phone. Or sitting in some corner listening to their ipod!

Here I go with the morbid side.....

...there was a freedom that i had as a child that as an adult, i have to fight to obtain.

However, punchanella and walkin to the chicken shack during high school lunch, and playing basketball during junior high before school started and being in a crazy gang of crazy kids who scraped enough money to buy hamburgers from wendys are at the top of the list of my memories.....
