cause it hurts


just went 4 a scale and clean- came away with a filling- but it was the clean that hurt
and my mouth feels like ive gone 10 rounds with mike tyson

4 real
and then came the hip pocket pain

and i was told i have gum disease
she took xrays- heavens knows what they will show up



took the rugrat as well - he needed a mouth guard- and the school dental service doesnt do those

$130 4 mouthguard- $48 4 consultation.

she told me he needs a filling- i said the school dentist can do it- they only charge $50 per treatment course (he already had an appt 4 2 weeks time)

thank goodness 4 private health, but as i left my card at home- i'll have to claim tomorrow



the only good thing to come out of this visit, was i didnt have a panic attack
and i actually had $ in my a/c (4 a change )

i cant remember the last time i went to the dentist panic free

He was very gentle and free of charge.
Now we go to his best friend, who does contra-deals

today was the 1st time since he retired i actually had the dentist who took over from him- ever other time, its been a locum (dentist on holidays/ sick/ etc)

But if you avoid it, it'll only hurt the next time you go in go regularly, the cleanings aren't bad at all when you do. & the cavity (filling) is a result of what - not brushing enough? or an abundance of sweets? I only ask b/c I haven't had one in years yet I eat too many sweets pretty much daily. But I brush at least twice a day & floss after meals (or before bed at the very least). Dentists are your friend!

Take it like a man! It does suck how much they charge though! Coz I don't go as often as I should my dentist gets the sads & says! Oh I can't do a clean this time coz your gums R irritated make another appointment 4 2weeks! So I get the double whammy! What especially irritates her is I've got no fillings!
