I'm an excellent all-around cook, but most of my "signature dishes" are desserts. Brioche tart with cherries in spiced wine syrup. Creamy lemon cheesecake with a gingersnap crust. Phyllo "nests" with homemade pistachio ice cream and sour cream/tart cherry ice cream. Mexican "five flavor" bittersweet chocolate ice cream.

And I make a mean carrot cake. cool

I used to make a mean carrot cake too. Everyone back home used to ask me to make it for their birthdays.

The Marlboro Man Sandwich!

I don't eat meat, but it must be good because it makes him weak in the knees. It takes all of 20 minutes. I add some bell peppers and hot peppers with the onions.

i really enjoy cooking nod
however, im not into fancy foods, more just home cooking i guess...

the ones that folks ask for the most-

meatballs - very, very good - nice and tender... just not very good for ya lol
speghetti - something i do to the sauce shrug
meatloaf - this one is very good!
chicken enchiladas - great recipe, works every time wink
my homemade mac and cheese...

connies potatoes - thats my aunt, and the potatoes are great!
homemade spanish rice - took forever to get it to the way we like it, but i got it down!
twice baked potatoes - yum!
steamed veggies with a balsomic vinegar sauce - i could eat that as a meal!

homemade salsa - regular and fruit, they are both tasty!

desserts that we like...
peach cobbler - that recipe is fantastic, and so easy!
something i do with my brownies shrug
better than sex cake giggle
carrot cake - found the perfect recipe!
peanut butter sheet cake - a friends mom's recipe drool

and my sisters margaritas woot! woot! now, THOSE are the bomb!

anyway, i think cooking is a great expression and i LOVE to cook for my family...getting the perfect recipe is key, but i usually stray from them and modify them to what my family will enjoy nod again, anyone can cook with the right recipe!
