Outdoor weddings usually have a contingency plan in case it rains...they'll move the ceremony indoors somewhere. Do you know if this couple does?

OK I just called the bride, and she said if it's raining sideways we can take them at the reception venue.

I hope you have a decent flash lol nod...I took wedding photos for my niece, and the reception was in this really dark club house...dark, DARK wood paneling everywhere, and very little in terms of indoor lighting (add to that the fact that it was very overcast outside so no natural light was getting inside). My flash was not nearly adequate enough confused ...

I'm hoping that will do...I'm not exactly an expert on flashes, though lol hmmm...would be cool if you could visit the place a day beforehand and take a few test shots with your flash and everything. nod

Here's where my niece had her reception:

I took this shot without my flash, but it was one of the better lit rooms lol...that, plus since there was no movement in the room at the time I just set up the camera and set a lengthy exposure time. Can't do that really when people are dancing and laughing and moving around...

*"without my flash" edit... doh!

yeah, I can probably use it off camera and use the inbuilt one as well. I need to do several group family shots - wonder if I should hire an additional flash for the groups hmmm only $35, set them both up on tripods?
