Around San Jose In A Day-A Photo Tour I really don't post much however I thought I would share with you all some pictures I took. Yesterday was such a nice day to be out and about I decided to play tourist in my own city. I armed myself with a fully charged Ipod and took a Claritin and set out to find some hidden gems in my city. So enjoy everyone.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/afrochick/ I think I will do this again soon. Just Call Me Afrochick

Yes it does. I'm going to the Japanese Gardens at Kelly Park today. The cherry trees should be in full bloom. Just Call Me Afrochick

In addition to the fists and the gloves, they also wore no shoes to protest black poverty, and beads around their necks to protest lynching. Within hours, they were stripped of their medals and sent home. IOC President Avery Brundage (and noted white supremacist...he's one of the dorks that awarded Berlin the '36 Games) said of the decision: "They violated one of the basic principles of the Olympic Games: that politics play no part whatsoever in them." | |

Tommie Smith and John Carlos were also students at San Jose State. The statue is on the campus. Just Call Me Afrochick
