NFL Draft 2008 - Who Will Your Team Pick?

It's shopping day for NFL teams. My Giants need help at wideout, linebacker and secondary. I hope they don't trade Shockey, but I keep hearing a deal to the Saints is going to happen. Sh!t.

This is what I want to happen for my Raihduhzzz!:

1 - Draft McFadden
2 - Trade for Chad Johnson after June 1st
3 - Trade for Shockey

Pipe dream? Probably. Doable? Hell yes, when Weird Al is still at the helm. He LOVES malcontents! It would also give jaMarcus some weapons to help with his development, especially a TE, since a great TE is a new QB's best check-down friend.

Man, we still need to fortify/scrap & rebuild our O- and D-Lines... Jamarcus' weapons won't be much help, if he gets as little time for reads as Culcripple had last season... disbelief

(Aw damn, did he call him Culcripple? lol That was just WRONG!)

Yeah, mainly the O-line. Gallery was a waste so far. The D-Line will be better if the offense can keep the defense off the field for so long.

Dude, I caught their game against the Titans here, last season. They sacked Culpepper so many times, it was embarrassing. As were the blown tackles and false starts. disbelief Being a Raiders fan is a thankless thing.

Seattle 28th pick
Seahawks select:

Lawrance Jackson USC.

http://usctrojans.cstv.co...nce00.html

Seattle Seahawks General Manager Tim Ruskell and Mike Holmgren Head Coach Press Conference:

Holmgren said Jackson will play exclusively defensive end. Ruskell said they had targeted Jackson all along, and that when it became apparent they could still get him by moving down they decided to make the trade with Dallas. Holmgren said after speaking with the defensive coaches that they felt end was a bigger need than tackle because they felt Patrick Kerney got worn down last year. By getting another end, they will implement a rotation that allows Kerney to get more rest. Holmgren said when mini-camp starts next week Jackson will line up at right end.

Dwaine Board said this will allow Jackson to move inside and pass rush over the guard on passing downs, something he did at USC.

Lawrence Jackson, or LoJack, as he says he is known, had a teleconference call with the Seattle media for about 10 minutes.

He Said he wore blue shoes in anticipation of being picked by the Seahawks.

He said he lived close enough to Lofa Tatupu at USC that he could have spit on his door from his apartment.

He also said he has the versatility to play defensive tackle or end, the reason he thinks the Seahawks chose him

He said for the first eight games last season, when it was third down he would slide to tackle.

He con concluded by saying that he is relaxed he met with and got tutoring from Michael Strahan.

Seattle 2nd round
Seahawks 7th pick:

John Carlson Notre Dame.

http://und.cstv.com/sport...ohn00.html

Seattle Seahawks Head Coach said John Carlson, indicated he wants to start next year. Holmgren spoke of both sides, saying he doesn’t want people to place high expectations on the guy, but then saying he had high expectations for him. He said he thinks Carlson is the most complete tight end out there, able to block and catch equally well.

Ruskell said getting the extra picks in the first round allowed them to do the deal in the second round that allowed them to get Carlson.

Seattle Seahawks General Manager Tim Ruskell said the Baltimore Ravens had called about moving up to take their first-round pick. Ruskell said he kept open the lines of communication with Ozzie Newsome and that led to the Seahawks moving up to 38 in the second round. He said they felt Carlson was not going to be there at 55 and so they had to make the move because they felt Carlson was the guy they wanted.
