What are the best Halloween costumes you've ever had? What got me thinking about this is Aaron's desire to be Jan Crouch some year. That would be a tough one to pull off. My mom was a theatre teacher so she was pretty crafty at putting together crazy outfits. Some of my favorites were:

4th grade- I was a jungle explorer complete with safari gear, a giant stuffed boa constricter, etc.

7th grade- I went as Rob from Milli Vanilli. I had the top hat, long coat and spent several hours braiding a long black wig. I won a costume prize that year I looked so fly.

8th grade- That year I was some kind of mad scientist with lab coat, fucked up glasses, rotten teeth, crazy hair, the works. I don't think I ever dressed up for Halloween after that. Although I always wanted to be Edward Scissorhands. Maybe I will be someday.

What are some of your best?

Well it wasn't mine, but my best friend's. We were in our mid 30's (yes in age) and she was lady godiva. She wore a white naked lady t-shirt, matching hose, a long blond, blond wig and had a huge black tuft of hair glued to the "special love place" on her t-shirt.
Never seen anything like it before or since.

my costume this year is lame, but OH WELL!

I think my favorite of mine was my do-it-yourself costume. I tood a small orange sheet and cut out holes for the eyes and the mouth. I put that over my head, added on a really frizzy black wig and put on some tanning goggles. I was a freak!

Other favorites of mine:

The Alphabet Man. Letters everywhere.

Rutherford B. Hayes. I got mad if someone dared to say I was Abraham Lincoln.

Cover yourself in toilet roll and pretend you're a mummy.Just don't go out in the rain.

Never had one

I dressed up as Shane Battier once but everyone kept telling me to sit down.

I will be going as a penguin fucker this year... as usual.

Sylvester the cat. my mom made this really elaborate stuffed mask that turned out great. only problem is, it's really hot.

she made it when i was like 3. i won a costume contest with it. 10 years later, my grandma won a contest with it. it last made an appearance 3 years ago. always a big hit.

Ian, I think your best was when you went as that big box of crayons. Or the lesbian. Those were priceless.

The best costume (funniest) I ever saw was one of Monica Selles. A woman had on a tennis outfit with a knive stuck in her back. She won something at the party.
