Now I have to go out and get new ones. The ones I have are not even that old, so I'm not sure what happened. It seems that the wire that goes to the left earphone is broken, because I'm only hearing music out of the right side.

Mine broke too. but they lasted for 2 years. Then again, they cost $100.
The wire is loose. I guess I could take them apart and fix it. I can hear in one ear, sometimes two. But I can't afford new ones. I'd rather have cordless, which means wires won't be a problem.
