Is it an age thing, or do younger girls (late teens-early 20's), tend to go for a stereotype (or a guy with a stereotypical image), over a more unique guy with a different personality?

I guess I fit into the latter. Infact I have 0 image (except a geeky one, but I feel my lingo is not that geeky really), but alot of girls love the bad boy, the guy in the army/raf, the pretty boy, the bodybuilder.

Iam not saying all girls are like this, but does anyone here honestly prefer a type of partner over a more unique sorta partner? Also, the older you get, do you go more for types?

Seriously, some girls just keep going for the same guys it just seems rather dull

I know this won't halp you but the older I get the less I care about "looks". I mean my partners always look good to me or I wouldn't be with them but other things than looks take precedent and carry high value over someone's physical perfection.

The guys I've dated are kinda all over the map personality-wise.

I was always attracted to character and always hated superficial images,
that really turns me off.
I don't care how good looking or sharply dressed they are, I can see right through the facade (with them thinking they're all that).

I think most people tend to go for people who share their interests...that's what usually brings them together in the first place.

Seriously though, I use to go with a girl who was a massively self absorbed goth type, and was totally not like me at all, and admittedly, it didn't last long, but I dont turn someone down or not ask someone out just because they dont like what I like.

Infact, I'll never find anyone who will like the music I like LOL.

For sure, opposites can attract but generally I don't think they last. The differences usually get in the way.

I don't think I have personality types. I think one girlfriend is not like the last, generally, for better and for worse.

Looks, definitely I have a type that I like.

No offence to anyone in the army, but some of you guys are boring as hell. I cannot see why a girl would want to go for a guy who talks about press ups and weapons all day. Infact, recently I went out with a girl who not only had a high sex drive, but was a call girl/escort on the side. She kept it from me for a while, which I was mad about, but honestly, this girls circumstance was she loved sex with strangers. Again, I could deal with that, but she had other issues LOL.

She said its hard for her to even get boyfriends because she is a call girl. That wasn't the main problem I had with her, but the sex with her was insane. Certainly a unique (if rather short yet again) relationship.
