Fauxhawks - Yey or Ney ? My contribution to the hair thread explosion....

I still love hem.
I honestly think 'messy' styles are in to stay. The variations on the fauxhawk ( mohawk down the back, and fashion mullets (sometimes called soccer or TG mullets)) are more popular. But your standard fauxhawk is still in. Not everyone can wear them though as they look a bit faddish. But then again, not everyone can wear a crew cut, and that never goes out of style either. I love bald though. As much as I fuss about my hair, I looooove bald.

fauxhauxs are douchey. you might as well get one of those overly ornate t-shirts that cost $100 and put on a pair of white leather pants.
i think a nice, genuine MOHAWK can be sexy on the right scrungey dirty punk rock boy, but fauxhawks (and their obnoxious sister hairstyle, "the fin") are for people who think they can fool bouncers into believing they're on the guest list, usually to no avail. DON'T DO IT.

Nothing wrong with them, but it would bug me to do something so damn trendy!
Not that I don't follow the herd, but I like to do it 2 years after the last of the herd has passed, then it's "hey lemme try that fauxhawk!" My Legacy

I never had a mohawk until I was 36 and by that time it was like 20 years too late but it became fashionable around the same time so it just happened to work out 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
