Scented or Unscented?

There have been a number of olfactory-type threads lately, so allow me to add another. I'm an unscented product devotee. How about you?

When I shop, I purchase only unscented personal care items such as laundry soap, deodorant, TP, shaving gel, you name it. I rarely use any sort of cologne or strong scent. Generally, I find strong perfume or cologne a HUGE turn-off, especially among MEN - YUCK!!

Some people seem to reek of many competing products. Their deodorant and laundry soap may reach me more than the "scent" that they have carefully selected for themselves. These sorts of olfactory medleys are the the nastiest of all!

Which brings me to another question, maybe best left for another thread: In general, do Americans bathe too much, or do our Euro brethren bathe too little?

I too, think it is horrendously tacky for a man to reek of cologne, you should only be able to smell it if you in his personal space.

I personally do not usually wear cologne, I prefer essential oils sandalwood, frankincense, coconut, and anything dark and musky.

As for women, you know what turns me on??? Their hair smelling clean and fresh, not fruity but flowery

mmm I can just smell the beauty here in the room now...

I like a man that smells good, but clean, not coverup. Oils I think give off the best results because they work with your body's natural chemicals to create your own personal scent. A nice smell and a cute smile, with pretty white teeth...ooo --- CALM DOWN KITTY!!! pussy hammer

Sometimes the unscented products have a really horrible scent to them. I know that when I buy babywipes (no little ones around, but I like to take off my makeup with them) I don't particularly like the babypowder-y scent, but the unscented ones smell gross.

Agree with all of the above. For me, when it comes to scents, it's all about subtlety.

It all depends on the product. I buy scented deoderant, and laundry detergent, and hair products...But none of them are strong smelling.

I love the smell of a good laundry detergent more than anything. Alex uses Gain. love I could sniff his clothes all day. It's lovely!

Anyhow, I didn't even know they made scented TP. What's the point? You're just gonna dispose of it! rolleyes

And yes, reek of colognes and perfume is pretty lame. I don't want to be able to smell anyone's perfumes, or lotions.

Lotion, yet another scented thing I hate! Especially kids who bring in stuff to class from like, Bath and Body Works. They bring in the strongest, reekiest shit. I almost passed out the other day when some girl was putting on some Cucumber Melon junk.

Alright, I know I'm gonna get my ass kicked for this, but in all seriousness, I have worn Prince's "Get Wild" cologne for years. I bought a pack of 10 bottles on eBay once and it's all I wear. And believe it or not, women LOVE IT. Or maybe it's just how it mixes with my natural pheremones...

I don't think when it's strong it smells good on anybody. If I smell someone's perfume or cologne and they're 50 feet away they've got on wayyy too much. I can't take being around people like that for too long, because if it's that strong and I HAVE to be around them either my allergy starts up, or I develop a headache.

Okay, there is a special buzz when a woman walks by me, and I am wafted by the slightest scent of a carefully chosen perfume. Ahhh...heaven.
