Is it bad when you are addicted to chilli? I love the kick I get when I have chilli with my food, whether fresh chillies, flaked or tabasco sauce..
Infact, now I seem to add it to alot more foods than I used to.. What do you overlove? [Edited 4/25/08 12:55pm] I will love you forever and you will never be forgotten - L.A.F.

But I love it, and ashamed to say kill alot of flavours with my overload of the stuff I love it too. It doesn't kill any flavours in my food, since my food is usually canned stuff, which doesn't really have taste. So the chili/tabasco only adds to it.

It's good for you, up to a point. Be careful you don't wreck your taste buds though. I see people here who now need massive amounts of either sugar, salt, vinegar or chili in their food just to be able to taste it. Why do you think mild dishes often seem so spicy to foreigners while Thais can eat meals full of chili? It's not like they're born with some capacity to 'take' spicy food. They're just not tasting all that much anymore.

ZombieKitten said: Fauxie said: maccas = McDonalds don't you ever go in there? Yes, I just didn't get the joke. It was a joke, right? Not being mean or anything, I just didn't get it. As far as Maccas, KFC etc. in Thailand, Thais often love to squirt the sweet chili sauce on it, but it's not spicy.

I've never seen it but I could believe it. Actually, I prefer Maccas in Malaysia because it's cheaper than in Thailand and they still have the quarter pounder with cheese.

Well I overlove Indian food if you're asking. I'm not too keen on anything too hot but I'm getting accustomed to it over here. I'm slowly but surely getting used to kimchi (spiced cabbage) which is the mainstay food in Korea. There's Joy In Expatriation.

I noticed they have better breakfast options in Malaysia then in Thailand. I guess the best thing about Maccas here is having delivery.

Onions/Scallion is a great source of flavor. However, if its overused in this dish, it can throw of the balance of the base.
