I would love your opinion...... would you think i was a bad mom for wanting my daughter to be a model. she's 16 and beautiful...( to most ).
It's one thing for me to be a photowhore, but would it be wrong to allow her to get paid for it???

does she WANT to?
if so, then sure. but get her some training first and don't skimp on the portfolio shots. do it right or don't do it at all. it's an investment!

She's 16 right??
I think she has the free will and the right to decide if she wants to be a model. Let her get her education and a great job. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

I think she should want to. You can encourage her, but it ought to be her decision. Modeling isn't easy nor is it for everyone. Christian Zombie Vampires

It's not a good life (unless you're the one-in-a-zillion who becomes an icon - even then, I wouldn't want an existence where people would constantly be staring at me and/or hassling me). No ... It's not wrong IMHO ... ...As long as you support, guide and manage her until she is absolutely sure of her own decisions I respect you for supporting your children as long as it is their chosen path

I think she has the free will and the right to decide if she wants to be a model. I've personally come to the belief that no one under 35 should be making any decision that could burden them for the rest of his/her life (e.g. deciding on a career that could make it impossible to lead a normal life later on).

If she has a marketable look, she'll be approached by agents and the temptation will be very great.

If it's something she wants to do, at 16, then I say let her do it.
My son has been "scouted" since he was an infant, but I never felt quite right about it so I always said "no"...but if he still gets a lot of interest when he is at an age where he can decide he wants to do it or can tell me that he wants to stop if he does end up doing it, I'm gonna finally say yes.
