I saw the Ipod touch, but I like my Nano better for some reason. The only thing I plan on upgrading is my laptop as soon as I can. btw I think you made a wise choice Ivy for choosing the 2nd generation Ipod when you think about price and space.

My mom bought the iPod touch a few months ago, and she's very happy with it.
It's mostly used for music and photo albums, and there are many cheaper ones, but the screen made all the difference, when you're trying to look at photos.
Plus the interface is great, and it actually works.

FYI
i own a dyson, it works well on only certain carpets, (kind of like the carpeting you find in commercial places such as hospitals and offices) and well for solid surfaces.
It ergonomics are great and the attachments are pretty user friendly.
But im due for a new one and I will be looking into other brands that can possibly do a better job on my wool area rugs, I kind of have to push down the brush with my foot for it to get them real well. If I dont find anything then I wil buy another dyson shrug

its the brush and the pressure of it on the carpet.
the one i own is one of the first generation to come to the U.S., it may have changed.
i think its due to its automatic adjusting to the carpet level rather than manually setting the hight.
i would say if you really wanted to try it, buy it from best buy or target and return it if it doesnt work well on your surfaces.
no bag, and ive never seen it spew dust back into the air other than when i am emptying it which obviously i do outside. when it does get a hold of something there is no return smile
oh and if anything happens to say any of the attachment just call the number right on the vacuum and they immediately ship it to you with in a week. no returning the old part or any questions other than how long have you owned the vacuum and your address.

but one thing i do swear by is their Zorb carpet cleaner. it is the best thing on the market, but i think you can use that with any vacuum.

thats what i was thinking about, but i dont know if they still weigh a ton, that shit could really damage some furniture or anything it happens to get knocked up against, and lugging it up and down stairs. if its changed, then the question is, is it as good as the old ones.

I replaced my Kirby with the Dyson Animal and am very, very happy with it. The whole dirt holder section comes apart for cleaning and it is light (unlike the Kirby ~ I kept running over my toe with it). I love the purple color of the Animal too ~ and it swoops up dog and cat hair like nothing else I've ever used!
It is expensive but watch Best Buy ~ I got a 100.00 BB gift card with mine!

Okay, do you use that iPod thing as an external harddrive or something?

Cuz I use my iPod Nano as a traveling device and the 200 songs I have on there service me to Paris and back, it does.

Only 1700. no no no!
