Is there any way we could make homemade Lays & Ruffles?

Times are tough. I'm even thinking about quitting the old Mountain Dew because pop is getting expensive too.

Whoa that's quite expensive, even compared to the prices where I live, in Reykjavik, one of the most expensive cities in the world! A 200g (7 oz) bag of Lays chips costs about 2.00-2.50 US$ at the local supermaket, whereas it might cost up to 5 dollars if bought at some 24 hours, 7-11 type of store. I haven't seen Ruffles chips in supermarkets here for ages, only at Subway. I wish they sold them in supermarkets. They are my favorite type of "plain" chips.

i paid a stupid dollar at target for a thingie of those lays "STAX" chips. i guess they're bootleg pringles, but whatever. i'll eat them.
