Gunk Your HAIR or NO??

I know folks who refuse to leave the house without mousing or gelling their hair.

And I know folks who think that stuff is nasty and want very clean hair.

Then I've seen granola hippies (though I don't know any personally) look like they just need to be shaved bald and deloused. shrug

I'm currently LOVING the shit out of this:

You can apply it wet for a shiny affect, or dry for extreme bed-head mess. drool

How do you rock your hair on a normal day?

Going out?

I like the dry hair scenario. I usually straighten it, spray it with a heat protecting spray, and use hairspray (very lightly) if going out. Ive got these huge tongs that add proper waves, on rare occasions i use them. I love the Veronika Lake look on hair, (if only I could manage it) My ideal hair situation is, straight shiny hair that has movement and hardly any product -- this is my aim always. My hair is long.

But you're married now, no?

I mean, there's no point in dolling yourself up anymore, right?

When I had really short hair I loooooved:

love

It smells sooooo yummy and was perfect for making my hair all punked out.

When I had short layers (but still my usual bob shape) I'd use just the tiniest hint of bedhead pommade stuff to give the extra volume and bring out the layers.

Now that it's all mostly one length I just use a little bit of Biosilk silk therapy for shine:

Yes I'm married, doesn't mean I have to walk around looking like a truck driver. This look on the hair, can you do it for me?

i HAVE to put gunk in my hair because it's so thick and soft. if i don't put any kind of glop in it at all, then it gets all poufy and feathery, and i feel like i should be in a 70s sitcom. i've been trying to use less and less product in recent times, though. if i just put in enough to weight my hair down a bit, then it seems to fall into place.

oh, and right now i'm in between sumotech styling paste and american crew fiber goo. my hairstylist told me to try the citrus mint styling glop, but i don't like it. shake

It kinda depends on how I have my hair. I usually use some anti-frizz serum, whether my hair will be wavy or straight. I'm currently using this one:

I'll also use a little bit of pomade when I let my hair air dry. It helps to keep my wavy hair under control. That's about it. I don't use gel or mouse and I only use hairspray when I put my hair up.

It just seems so standard for you. Like too expected or whatever. I mean, you always march to the beat of your own drum. You are to The Ghey what Lisa Bonnet was to the Cosbys so to speak. shrug

You have a stylist. giggle

anyone who can help me grow out my hair without me wanting to shave it all off after 4 weeks should be called a miracle worker instead of a stylist. i'm like the helen keller of high maintenance hair.

I like him better this way.

He looks better as prison chic instead of whatever that other look he was aiming for.

I just use some plain old gel, blow dry it out, curl it all up then use my favorite hairspray.
