I really hope he gets better: Richard Quest of CNN

A CNN journalist who was arrested in New York was not only carrying drugs, but also had a rope tied around his neck and his genitals.

British reporter Richard Quest was arrested wandering around Central Park at 3.40am on Friday with methamphetamine in his jacket pocket, the New York Post reports.

Quest, 46, was approached by police for loitering, before voluntarily admitting "I've got some meth in my pocket", police claim.

A routine search then found the rope, as well as a sex toy tucked into his boot.

A New York judge ordered Quest to undergo six months of counselling.

A well-known face on CNN International, Quest is renowned for his boisterous and quirky style.

I love him!

Since CNN is really nothing but an entertainment and advertising venue for larger companies anyways, it's nice that Richard was actually entertaining.

OMG shocked I saw the headline for this yesterday but didn't read the article: I LOVE him! He's the highlight of CNN for me. I hope he gets himself sorted out neutral....

...and in other news, I never would have pegged old Quest for being a freaky-deak-freak-of-the-week in the bedroom spank ...I thought he could pass for playful or flirty type, but he is straight up hardcore eek

It's interesting you should say that, because I've actually found the broadcasts are very different from each other depending where you're located.I've never seen any of the American new personalities other than Larry King, which they play sporadically at 3am. I know Anderson Cooper, but not from his show, before AC 360 he was hardcore into conflict zone reporting, walking across minefields & shit. CNN runs about 11 separate news desks internationally, broadcasting simultaneously. What I have seen when I visit home, the American desks from Atlanta & New York do look pretty fluffy. My CNN is London desk by day and Hong Kong desk at night. During the day most of my news is stats on Iraq, who blew up what in Gaza, EU politics, What's popping in Africa (which is usually a coup of some sort with child soldiers blowing up everything in sight, or they just sold somebody stuff to make nuclear power in Asia/Middle East) , and what new hemisperic order have just been descended down from Mt. Vldamir Putin. At night from Hong Kong they only talk about finance, and well, China.

My CNN is essentially an endless cycle of conflict and money, conflict and money, conflict and money. They're pretty graphic when they're in the conflict zones (random legs lying in the street with the bones sticking out) and after a while you have to take a break from watching- it just essentially makes the world look like a hopeless mess bent on self-destruction sigh. The daily broadcast are punctured by monthly specials that provide a weeks worth of documentaries called "Focus on..." Where they take you to a country to explore their infrastructure and how they're affecting the global economy. So far I've seen the ones on China, India, Russia, and Brasil. There is usually a monthly doc on an African country. Those are pretty jacked up to watch though because it's always a conflict area. The only really entertaining thing we get is a show about world architecture and art, then Richard's show "In Quest of", which I love! When they do put him on the London desk for the news, he's so "too much" for whoever his stiffed lipped partner might be that day cool . The only person who can hold her own with Richard is loud ass Becky Anderson. There are times when they do the London desk together I have been convinced that were drunk as HELL. lol . But I need to see that once in a while...the broacast I get from CNN is basically doom, gloom, and money...
