I used the fact that someone used the word "serendipitously" in the opening paragraph of their cover letter to make my final choice for my summer intern. I love that word and use it frequently; so I figured it was serendipitous that she used it and it would be auspicious for me to choose her.



edit: BTW, I have no plans to hit on my summer intern, I just thought the vocabulary aspect was semi-relevant.
