NASA Robotics Competition The son of a friend of mine is on a team in this high school competition. They are Team #118, from Houston - the "Robonauts".
This competition involves building a robot that can perform in a contest involving movement and grabbing skills. Teams come from all over the world to compete. I cannot tell you how cool this thing is. First of all, the announcers are as good as anyone on ESPN! Seriously - who knew NASA engineers could do play-by-play? It's a huge competition, held at the Georgia Dome. Here is the link for today's broadcast: http://science.ksc.nasa.g...nals-2008/ The Robonauts are on RIGHT NOW! 9:15 AM CDT. | |
