I need advice, again, regarding my trip to England..... Can someone tell me on average how much money I should take. Or should I say, how much money should I have saved.
8 days in the London area and 5 days in Amsterdam. I'm getting a little nervous..... MyeternalgrattitudetoPhil&Val.Herman said "We want sweaty truckers at the truck stop! We want cigar puffing men that look like they wanna beat the living daylights out of us" Val"sporking is spooning with benefits"

London will be far more expensive than A-dam.
Bring a debit card or credit card for sure. The exchange rate at the tube is not great-- you loose alot of money exchanging money there. I would say a thousand at least, and that's being frugal.

Check your orgnotes, I sent you LleeLlee's address and a lot of other personal information and you can stay with her and her husband as long as you like.
Feel free to bring friends and don't worry about money, she's got you covered. Check your orgnotes.

You don't know how happy I am that you said $1000.....I hope you mean $1000 dollars not pounds. I'm thinking $1000 and about $1500, that I shouldn't be spending, on a credit card, hopefully just for emergencys. Woo hoo!!!!! I hope that doesn't mean something else in London.....I digress. They are so amazing in letting me stay with them. I'm eternally greatful. Most of museums and sites in London are free---except St. Paul's which is 20 fucking pounds to see Food is expensive, but if you're staying at Phil and Vals you can save by buying gorceries and mooching off of Phil.

I just have to pay for my hotel stay in Amsterdam which is really cheap 'cause that's how I roll. I just hope there aren't any bed bugs. Rail passes are much much much much cheaper to buy stateside by the way. You can save a ton buying them online here.

My only dilemma is when I get back from Amsterdam I have 2 more days in the London area. I don't know if I should rent a car again. From the 5th to the 15th or so I rented a vehicle.
