Toronto tourists, come here!

I'm from Toronto and constantly wonder how you people see us from a tourist's point of view, I always wondered. I'm asking, because I constantly see people mention that they're coming here for concerts or whatever.

Personally i love Toronto.
It's the "New York City" of Canada to me.
definately in my top 3 favorite cities in the world behind NYC and London.

I rank London and New York 2 & 3, but I'm biased. razz

I visited in September and had a great time. I went with 2 friends, though, so I really didn't interact much with the locals.
Ace chickened out of meeting me. pout
But it's a lovely city. I enjoyed my time there very much. smile

It's a nice enough city.Very clean. I really liked the public transportaion, it was easy to use. Other than that, not much about it stands out in my mind.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

Ya, ya...I know. I still crack up when people call it 'clean'.

I don't really hate it there. It's got some fun things to do. I'm going there this summer...not to party but I'm taking Miles and my neice to the zoo.

Toronto band, Toronto-area locations, genuine Toronto eccentric (Mary Margaret O'Hara - sister of Catherine and a brilliant musician).

Special to Carrie: I used to see Mary Margaret all the time on the strip of Queen St. you were a-strollin' (had her phone number at one point for some music-related thing or other). Very, very sweet and very, very nuts. lol Important note: she does not know how to tune a Yamaha DX-21 synthesizer. no no no!

Mostly Toronto-unrelated question: Anybody out there familiar with Glass Eye and/or Kathy McCarty?

I remember her song (if you can call it that) Bodies In Trouble when I was a kid. My brothers and I would die of laughter singing Bunny's In Trouble instead. "Ah, who? Ah, who??"

neutral

Ok, it was funny when we were 10.
