I would be a horrible drug addict So my back is still out. The damn Director of Public Health for Indianapolis examined me herself and sent me to our public health hospital immediately.
After waiting for almost FIVE HOURS, they said I was having severe muscle spasms. The other doc gave me some weak ass muscle relaxers according to the new doc. He prescribed - Valium, Vicodin and Ibuprofen. 
Me being me...I argued, especially about the Vicodin but he said to only take it at bed time so I could get some sleep. I needed to rest. So I go take all of the drugs.
OMGOSH....Valium is insane and mixed with Vicodin . I didn't take either one today. I've only taken the Ibuprofen. I can't do it. I like having control over everything.
Why would anyone want to feel like the room is sideways all damn day long? My back is still funky but I can't do these meds. So I'm selling them to the highest bidder....any prescription pill poppers?  | |

I think the Valium is to keep you from freaking out about the Vicodin.
Clearly, it didn't work.

i'm the same way. i was perscribed cough medicine with codine in it once and i hated it. i hated how relaxed it made me. | |

| I dont even take asprin unless I desperately have to...

I can't even take cold or allergy medicine. It makes me all speedy and disconnected and it makes me pee every 15 minutes.

yeah.. i'd be leary too with what doctors try to prescribe these days.. did they tell you why u're having spasms? or what's causing it? | |

They believe its stress related. They are concerned how severe they are. I'm so anti meds that this is a battle. The pain is very severe. I'm trying to just calm down, relax and hopefully they will just go away. | |

Weird, vicodin keep me awake and give me a migraine.
I wonder why he prescribed you that for muscle spasms? I'm not a doctor but it sounds like you just needed the relaxers to help calm them, and maybe ibuprofen. | |

Sorry to hear about your back honey. When I pulled my back the doctor prescribed anti-inflammatories to ease the spasm and muscle relaxers. I couldn't take them either. I started doing Bikram yoga after that and haven't had ANY back or neck pain since and that was 3 years ago. You may want to consider yoga, it'll help with stress too.

I don't take anything either. The only thing that will make me take some kind of pain reliever is a tooth ache. Good Lawd! The Valium was for the spasms, Vicodin for pain and Ibuprofen for inflammation. The Valium is really trippy. I am thinking of taking up yoga if this maybe an issue. This is definitely a situation where the drugs are just as bad as the pain. | |
