Actually when I had my c sections ...I had a training nurse that asked if he could try putting the iv in ..he used me as a damn pin cushion ...I had the biggest brusies all the way up my arm..and he still didn't get it in  ....I don't remember to much about the pain though....I was to worried about the knife about to slit open my stomach | |

Well i had an IV just yesterday in fact. I was actually asleep when they did it, so i'm no good source for ya. ;D It might hurt when they put it in, but it doesn't hurt at all when they take it out. They're annoying as hell though, especially when you have to go to the bathroom. But they're necessary. | |

You'll be glad when it's done. Better than having it hanging over your head. Dentists torture you, yes, but generally they accomplish stuff, unlike doctors who seem offended that you came in to waste their time.
Dentists actually patch teeth, pull bad ones, etc. I am so happy I got my wisdom tooth pulled (only one, I was lucky)! The visit sucks but you'll feel better. My Legacy

I have to go to the dentist at the end of this month for three different appointment in one week. two on one day. Just to replace fillings. I get the shills and cringe everytime I think about it.

You'll be fine. I had 2 removed at once and it wasn't actually too much of a big deal. Mine was just local anesthetic too. In all seriousness.... the IV is a little pinch....fluids feel cold....all momentary....then you're feeling like a million bucks and some dentist has his hand up your shirt....errrmm....ummmm I mean.... I'm sure it will be fine (make sure you wear something pretty though.... )
